Our guys will go to Soligorsk, where the Master tandem will take place on January 26-27 as part of the Winline Russian 3x3 Championship.
The tournament will feature 12 teams, including Hangzhou from China and Zvezdara from Serbia. “Runa” will start in group B together with St. Petersburg COP B.B. and Magnitogorsk Metallurg. The four best teams of the Soligorsk tandem will have the opportunity to play in the Master in March.
Runa player Ilya Sidorenko shared his expectations about the upcoming tournament.
«We are approaching this tandem «hungry» for basketball, since there was a long break after the previous tournament. We have the highest expectations about the Russian Championship. We have been heading towards the title for a long time, and this year we want to take ours. We will try to approach each tandem in the optimal form. This season, foreign teams, whom we have already met before, are participating in the championship. It will be interesting to play with them during the championship; international experience is very valuable. But I think that our main competitors are ourselves. If we play our basketball, we will have no equal», – Sidorenko said.
