Our girls took part in the semi-final first round of the Youth League of the Junior Youth League Championship. Runa won four times in group B1, the matches of which took place from December 10 to 15 in Essentuki.
First, our team confidently beat Metallurg Magnitogorsk (86:64), SSOR CSKA Moscow (76:55) and SSOR Enisey Krasnoyarsk (69:55).
Next, Runa, the silver medalist of the Youth League-22/23, met with the winner of last season, Sparta and K from Vidnoye. As in the April final, our girls lost in a tough ending - 59:69.
In the last game, the Vikings defeated the COP St. Petersburg with a score of 72:61. Thus, our team with a score of 4-1 took second place in group B1.
The most productive player of Runa right now is Alexandra Babkina. In 10 games of this Youth League season, her averages are 14.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals.
