Malofeev is a product of Runa Youth project. From 2020 to 2023, Nikita represented our club in the VTB United Youth League. In the 22/23 season, his averages were 8.2 points and 5.9 rebounds in 17 minutes on the court.
This season, Malofeev made his debut in the VTB United League with the main team. On November 2, he took part in the game with MINSK, but did not score.
Barnaul is in fifth place in the Superleague. The team has 16 wins and 9 losses.
Runa general manager Sergei Yukhnevich commented on Malofeev’s loan.
«Nikita has been with us almost from the very beginning of our history. He went through children's school and youth projects. Now he has a chance to show himself in a big basketball. This season Barnaul relies heavily on young players and is fighting for the Superleague playoffs. This is a great opportunity for Nikita to gain experience and grow as a player», – Yukhnevich said.
